About Me:

Hi, I'm Lydia! I'm an aspiring fashion image maker, fashion stylist and creative professional immersed in the world of fashion. My interests encompass fashion photography, styling and merchandising.

Currently, I am pursuing a BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication and Promotion at Norwich University of the Arts, where I am developing my skills and aiming to graduate in May 2025.

Throughout my university journey, I have adopted a diverse skill set in various creative disciplines. This includes visual storytelling, image creation, art direction, and editorial photography and styling. I am particularly passionate about blending high fashion aesthetics with artistic expression, enabling me to craft compelling visual narratives that resonate with various audiences. Many of my projects look into the intricate connection between self-expression and personal identity within the realm of fashion, highlighting the beauty of unconventional styles to create visually striking imagery that challenges societal norms. I enjoy creating work with lots of attention to detail, with a keen eye for aesthetics and emerging trend movements.

In addition to my background in fashion communications, I also have valuable hands-on retail experience from my role in the Fashion Accessories department at Jarrolds, a well-established and respected independent store in the heart of Norwich City Centre. This role has provided me with a solid foundation in both the visual and commercial aspects of the fashion industry. My time in retail has sharpened my ability to analyse and interpret trends in real-time, whilst also enhancing my skills in product display and presentation, visual merchandising and consumer experiences. Working with notable accessory brands such as Coach, Michael Kors, Longchamp, and Kate Spade has enriched my understanding of the finer details that complete a look, refining my eye for proportions, colour palettes, textures and curation techniques.

I am keen to leverage my retail background and further expand my professional horizon within the broader fashion industry.

I aim for my imagery to foster a dialogue reflecting the evolving nature of fashion and self-expression in contemporary culture.
